Qatari Emir Sheik Tamim container Shiekh Yousuf Al-Qaradawi can be seen kissing the brow of an evangelist who called Jews “chimps and pigs” in an exercise distributed by the Qatari paper Al-Arab May 14.
As per the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), Sheik Yousuf Al-Qaradawi said that the Jews “merit Allah’s fury” for being “antagonistic towards the Prophet [Muhammad]” because of “lie, love of this world, after urges, dazzle enthusiasm, presumption, or desire.” Al-Qaradawi then refers to a segment from the Qur’an that peruses, “Those whom Allah has reviled and with whom He lost control and made of them chimps and pigs and captives of Taghut – these are more awful in position and further off track from the sound way.”
Against Defamation League (ADL) Washington Director for International Affairs David Weinberg called attention to on Twitter that Al Thani can be seen in on Qatari TV kissing Al-Qaradawi’s temple at around the equivalent time span Al-Qaradawi’s remarks were distributed:
Al-Qaradawi “is viewed as a main ideologue of the Muslim Brotherhood and has been ensured and bolstered by the Qatari system for a long time,” per MEMRI. Bahrain, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates have all authorized Al-Qaradawi over his connections to the Qatar system.
The Qatari government, as indicated by the ADL, declares hostile to Semitic paranoid notions in their state reading material and has often “facilitated various enemy of Semitic detest evangelists.”
