The French Foreign Ministry announced on Saturday that two additional French citizens are being held in Iran.
Seven French nationals are now being held in the country as a result of this.
According to an interview with the newspaper Le Parisien, Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna stated, “We have concerns over two other citizens, and the result of our latest checks is that they are being detained.”
Colonna stated, “If its (Iran’s) objective is to blackmail us, then this is the wrong way to deal with France.”
