In November 2023, Dubai will have the 28th UN Environmental Change Meeting. The VP and Top state leader of the UAE and Leader of Dubai, Sheik Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, said that ‘COP28 will be the UAE’s most significant occasion in 2023’.
One of the most significant global multilateral events, COP28 will focus on finding practical solutions to the climate crisis. Around 140 heads of state and government, 80,000 attendees, and thousands of media professionals will attend the conference.
Considering this, COP28 requires available marking that mirrors the desperation and chance of handling environmental change. Personality was chosen from 17 organizations in a serious pitch to follow through on this.
To determine precisely what the logo should convey, we started with the visual language when designing it. Understanding that the brand must express a degree of togetherness while simultaneously maintaining a bold, sophisticated style, we focused on unity, innovation, and inclusivity as key messages. Through a compelling narrative, we wanted to instill a sense of urgency and establish a brand that embodies creativity and diversity.
The chosen logo highlights the planet’s beauty. From a good ways, the circular, logo is by all accounts one complete shape, suggestive of the globe and every one of its landmasses. After looking into it further there are numerous particular stories that reverberate the singular encounters of environmental change. The assortment of symbols, from individuals and sustainable power advancements to untamed life and nature, addresses the abundance of mankind’s regular and mechanical assets and accentuates the requirement for development across all areas to drive comprehensive and groundbreaking environmental activity.
Our plan is hopeful, portraying all life coinciding with a feeling of equilibrium reestablished through activity. The innovations included are future-engaged, sunlight-based chargers and wind turbines that fit flawlessly with the normal symbolism of plants and creatures.
Taking impact from nature, we made a contemporary variety range that insinuates a need to keep moving. We selected an energetic lime to make a cutting-edge look and increment memorability. We could also use this decision to introduce a brand-new colorway that COP had not previously used.
The motivation behind the marking is to exemplify all that is COP28. The meaning of this occasion is difficult to sum up in a solitary picture, similar to our planet. This is reflected in our design. It is rich and complex; and busy, but there is still a sense of order. Eventually, it exists to advocate the gathering, the participants, the UAE, and in particular our One Earth.
The international community will meet in 2023 to regain momentum on climate change. Character is respected to be essential for the story of COP28, and to assist with driving the worldwide discussion towards activity and conveyance.
